Apparently I Have Errands

It's Friday morning. Time to write some code...

Or is it?

Apparently VantaQueen has scheduled errands and doctor appointments for me today. So of course I got up at 5:30am trying to squeeze in as much coding as possible before I'm dragged away from my keyboard.

Two of my LastLook testers have come back with some great feedback so far. RC2 is already getting some of it, including better ways to sort through findings and some work on expanding what LastLook can preview. This is exactly why I wanted other people beating on it instead of me deciding it works because it works on my computer.

This weekend I'll be bouncing between LastLook RC2, getting some work done on iShenanigans, and Vanta's "honey do" project: SyNext.

The Pixel Mancer is 13 and autistic/ADHD. Getting him to transition from his phone to chores, dinner, or whatever else he needs to be doing can turn into a battle. Vanta lives that battle, and earlier this year she came to me with an idea for handling it that was a little different from the usual "set a screen-time limit and lock the phone" approach.

I started building SyNext around her idea and pretty quickly discovered I didn't know enough yet. Android and iOS have very different ideas about what an app like this should be allowed to do, so I had some homework to do before I could build what was in her head.

Now I know a hell of a lot more than I did then, so I'm getting back to it this weekend.

But first...

Apparently I have errands.
