What the Hell Is Zed Invasion?

It's Wednesday. I haven't touched Zed Invasion in almost two weeks.

Not because I've lost interest. I'm just stuck trying to figure out what the game SHOULD be. I know it has Command & Conquer and Warcraft DNA, but it's 2026. I don't want to spend all this time building something that feels like a game I was playing 30 years ago. I want to bring something new to the table. My infection plugin should help with that, and I've got a few ideas bouncing around in my head. I just need to figure out how to bring them all together.

Meanwhile, KhaoticRage is apparently determined to become my second biggest cheerleader, right behind VantaQueen. The asshole sent me $200 to buy assets for Zed Invasion. LOL. Now I've got assets to buy and a game I need to figure out what the hell I'm doing with. Seriously though, having people who believe in what I'm trying to build means a hell of a lot. No pressure, right?

And in other news, this morning I took the first steps toward making this whole game development thing a legitimate business.

We've spent a lot of time writing code, building games and talking about what we want to accomplish. Now I'm actually putting the pieces in place to make it happen. Eventually, I'd like to see Lonely Ranch Games on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation. One step at a time, I guess.

LastLook is nearly finished, and apparently taking a break from Zed Invasion to work on something completely different was exactly what my brain needed. Not because there's any code I can recycle between the two, but because working on LastLook has helped me organize some of the ideas that have been bouncing around in my head.

I think I finally have a plan for Zed Invasion.

I just need to sit down and see if the damn thing works. Now, where's my Jolt Cola?
