Am I Still Kidding Myself?

Three days ago, I was asking myself a question I really didn't like. Am I kidding myself?

Later that day, I found out Salvage Run didn't make the first cut of the game jam. That sucked. I wasn't expecting to win the whole damn thing, but I was hoping we'd at least make it through the first round.

Well, it's Friday, and I woke up to confirmation from the State of Oregon that The CybrThugs LLC, Lonely Ranch Games, and now Beacon54 are all officially registered. We're legitimate across the board.

So that's where I'm at. One game didn't make the cut, but the company Hypnotitron, KhaoticRage, and I are building is officially a real business.

Does that mean we're going to succeed? Nope. Does it mean I can quit my day job? LOL. Not even close.

I've still got Zed Invasion to finish, the Beacon54 website to launch, and about a thousand other things I want to build. Meanwhile, VantaQueen has to share me with a computer and a company that isn't making us any money yet. She's been incredibly supportive, but I know I'm asking a lot of her.

And Monday morning, I'll still be getting up to go work for somebody else.

So am I kidding myself? Maybe.

But I'd rather spend the next ten years finding out than spend the rest of my life wondering what would've happened if I'd actually tried.
